Do your kiddos really need chiropractic care?

Babies and children are growing and developing more than ever between birth and seven years old. Having the support for their nervous system through chiropractic care helps with many other systems in their bodies, including those which control and promote rest, relaxation, digestion, immune function, development, healing and growth.

Adjustments for babies & kids look different than adults.

Our office is fully accustomed to adjusting little ones, whether that is in the playroom, on the chiropractic table, or in a small quiet room. Dr. Becca has specialized pediatric training through Epic Pediatrics and the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), and is partnering with a network of pediatric chiropractors called The Pediatric Experience.

Introduction

While chiropractic has only recently become a large part of my life, I have always held a special place in my heart for children. Ever since I can remember, I would beg my mom to volunteer in the church nursery just so I could play with, cuddle, and love on the babies. I grew up with the dream of one day becoming a mom and a teacher, both of which came true. Unfortunately teaching was a struggle, and I realized quickly that my dream lacked passion. I became a chiropractic assistant and health coach in Delaware for 2 years until I reached the point where I wanted to know more- more about our bodies, how intricately God designed us, and how chiropractic works. Amusingly I said there was NO WAY I was going back to school after 10+ years. But God made it clear to me that He had a different plan for me; and He opened the doors for me to become a chiropractor.

Education

In the summer of 2016, my family moved down from Delaware to Atlanta for the sole purpose of me going to Life University. I hit the ground running and added the role of student into my already busy life until I graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2019. During my schooling, I heavily researched the effects of chiropractic on infants. This fueled my desire to add to that needed area, which precipitated my working relationship with the National Family Wellness Alliance (https://thenfwa.org).

Personal Life

Everyone who knows me knows that for me FAMILY COMES FIRST. My husband and I have been married for 15 years, and we have 2 amazing children, Katelyn and Devin. Along with many other women, I annually become a “football widow” as he coaches the varsity team at Whitefield Academy. I have the honor of seeing Katelyn grow her passion and skills in dance and theater, while (cringingly) watch her try wrestling for the first time this year. Devin has found his niche in playing violin and running. I love the fact that he enjoys running, and yet those cross country and track meets are painstakingly long. As a family, we regularly enjoy worshiping and serving with our church family with On Mission Church in Mableton, and you can find us enjoying the outdoors, many times at a lake or on the beach, or playing games with friends or extended family!

Frequently Asked Questions From the Community

Why Should I Get My Child Checked by a Chiropractor?

Many parents are choosing to be proactive with their children’s health, rather than reactive. Chiropractic is both proactive and preventative when it comes to wellness. Pediatric chiropractic care is safe, gentle, and helps a child thrive right from the start. Many of our practice members have their babies checked at birth. Our office focuses on making sure your child has a properly functioning nervous system, creating health from the start of life!

Is it Safe To Be Adjusted While I Am Pregnant?

Not only is chiropractic care completely safe during pregnancy, Renewed Hope Chiropractic highly encourages you to choose a chiropractor to become apart of your birth team! Often times, our new moms under chiropractic care have more comfortable pregnancies, easier and shorter labor times, stronger connection with their babies, and more room for baby to freely move and grow naturally. Chiropractic care can also help with sciatica and round ligament pain as the body is constantly adapting to the changes throughout the stages of pregnancy. Dr Becca is certified in the Webster technique, which was developed specifically for pregnancy women!

Do You Adjust Adults?

Absolutely! Adults have nervous systems that need to be functioning well too! Pediatrics and prenatal are just a bit more special and required additional training 🙂

Do You Accept Insurance?

Our office does not because we want to make sure you and your family get the care you DESERVE. We strive to provide the best quality care while keeping it affordable – especially for families. We choose to allow each practice member to choose what is best for themselves and their families. In our office, we work for YOU, not a premium.

Can I Use My HSA or FSA Card to Pay for Care?

Yes, as a recognized medical practitioner, you can use your HSA and FSA cards to pay. We are happy to provide an itemized receipt for services if requested.
